UniVent Payment Notice

Disclaimer
This document is a translation for reference only.
The original version is written in Korean, and in case of any discrepancy, the Korean version shall prevail.

UniVent acts as an online platform that connects sellers and consumers as a telecommunication sales intermediary under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc., and is not a party to event or product transactions.
The Company does not sell events or products directly. Depending on the payment method, payment proceeds are processed through a payment gateway provider partnered with the Company (Safe Payment) or received directly by the seller (Direct Transaction Payment or Electronic Payment).
Please be sure to review the following information before making a payment.

1. General Information

  • All event and product transactions are made under contracts concluded directly between the consumer and the seller.
  • UniVent does not separately guarantee the accuracy, legality, or completeness of product or event information registered by sellers. The seller information and business verification badge displayed on event and store pages indicate that the format of the registered information has been checked.
  • UniVent does not hold or manage payment proceeds. The settlement procedure for Safe Payment follows section 2 below.
  • UniVent may restrict or change the available payment methods, payment limits, and payable amounts, and the available payment methods are shown on the payment screen.
  • Refund standards and procedures follow the UniVent Refund Policy.
  • Detailed matters not set out in this notice are determined by UniVent in its operational policies and notified within the Service.

2. When Using Safe Payment (Payment Through the Company’s Partner PG)

  1. Scope of Responsibility
    • UniVent supports payment integration with its partner payment gateway providers and settlement processing. The seller bears direct responsibility for performing the transaction, including the display of product information, provision of services, and delivery and fulfillment.
    • Payment, refund, and error handling follow the terms and procedures of the payment gateway provider, and UniVent is not an electronic financial business operator.
  2. Settlement Information
    • Payment proceeds are processed through the partner payment gateway provider, and once the period set by the Company has passed from the last payment date, the amount remaining after deducting refunds, cancellations, and fees for each payment method is settled to the account designated by the seller.
    • To receive settlement, the seller must sign the settlement confirmation and complete account holder name verification, and the Company may require additional verification procedures where necessary.
    • Settlement timing and procedures are posted in the settlement guide and fees in the pricing information; changes apply to new payments from the time they are posted.
    • Payments for which settlement is in progress or has been completed cannot be refunded directly by the seller and are handled according to the procedure notified by the Company. If a refund, cancellation, or chargeback occurs after settlement has been completed, the seller must reimburse the relevant amount within the period set by the Company.
  3. Refund Fees
    • Refund fees may apply depending on the payment method and, together with payment fees already incurred, may be deducted from the refund amount as determined by the Company.
    • Refunds may not be processed if the refund amount is equal to or less than the refund fee, so please keep this in mind before paying. The fee standards are posted in the pricing information.

3. When Paying Through a PG Provider Contracted Directly by the Seller (Electronic Payment)

  • Electronic Payment is a method in which the seller contracts directly with a PG provider and receives the payment; the payment amount does not pass through UniVent.
  • Procedures and responsibilities for payment, refunds, and settlement follow the contract between the seller and that PG provider, and UniVent is not involved.

4. When Making a Direct Bank Transfer to the Seller (Direct Transaction Payment)

  • All transactions in which the consumer transfers funds directly to an account designated by the seller are direct contracts between the seller and the consumer.
  • Payments made by overseas users through external payment links (e.g., PayPal) provided by the seller also fall under Direct Transaction Payment.
  • UniVent is not responsible for any issues that arise in the Direct Transaction Payment process (including the exchange of funds, refund delays, or non-performance).

5. When Paying with a Cheer Payment Added

  • A cheer payment is an additional amount that a participant voluntarily adds for the organizer; it is not consideration for goods or services and is not a donation under tax laws. It is not eligible for tax benefits such as donation receipts.
  • A cheer payment is processed as a single payment together with the ticket price and is subject to the same scope of responsibility and settlement procedure as the payment method that applies to the event.
  • Refunds of cheer payments are processed together with ticket refunds, and once refunds are restricted, the cheer payment is not refunded either.
  • UniVent is not the party that receives cheer payments and is not involved in their purpose or use.
